Is the "HelpDesk Assisted Unlock" feature only available if you are authenticating with SEE? We are currently using automatic authentication and the only option available is "Administrator Login Unlock." The HelpDesk option is grayed out although we do have the "One-Time Password" option enabled and the "OTP Unlock" feature enabled as well. Thanks.
Is there a way to run pgpwde.exe commands with LocalSystem (pre-login)? We have a script in place to set off a process, but we constantly get faced with the error "Error code -12450: administrative prefrences file not found".

we want to make use of the ignition keys to protect keys on server. It is our understanding that if we create an ignition key then in case of hardware theft keys within database should be encrypted and thus unreadable.
I have PGP Desktop on my older laptop (and PGP Zip) and the product or license key for it. How can I get it (or an upgraded version) to my new laptop? Thanks.

Old laptop died after being in water. However have a full disk back up with Acronis. Have now bought new laptop. I did not have full disk encryption. I had 3 files that I used to store secure data. When I clicked on the file it would mount a new virtual drive with its own drive letter. I never set a key and access was simply by a password.
I added a new email address to my keys, and when I attempted to upload the changes to the PGP Global server, it claims that my key has been revoked.
I have not changed anything on the keys for a long time, and I certainly do not remember revoking them.
Is it possible to rename a computer once full disk encryption is installed and enabled?

I had a corporate image mac with OSX 10.8, running whole disk encrryption. The external drive I used for Time Machine backups was also encrypted.

I'm trying to encrypt a partition on a second SATA disk in the expansion bay of my Lenovo W520. It's a basic disk formatted with MBR. I already have the main boot disk encrypted in the normal way.
So i was asked to look at a disc with personnel and professional documents. All of the files were encrypted with GuardianEdge and the owner of the disk has forgotten their password for it. Is there anyway i can recover these documents?
The Liveupdate Next status date is way in the past and the current status on Liveupdate comes with the latest date.
If I buy a new Macintosh now, it will come with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, which PGP WDE supports. If I wait a couple weeks, it will probably come with Mavericks. Does anyone know about Mavericks compatibility?

10.3 version of Symantec Endpoint Encryption (PGP). It says "Enterprise Enrollment Failed." I noticed that the section above username and password says "domain" specifically : "Please enter your domain authentication credentials." Is there no way to enroll local users on a Mac?
I am currently on a tight deadline for some computers that will require the entire drive to be encrypted. And I am not that familiar with encryption software, just installed the trial today.
I use Symantec PGP (Symantec Encryption Desktop) to encrypt my files/documents at home for personal use. The software is currently installed on my Windows 8 64-bit laptop. I keep all my encrypted files on my personal/home server and can access/dpwnload these encrypted files to my Android smartphone remotely (say, when I am at my Doctor's office).
